My Blogging Story
When I first entered the industry in 2012, my mentors encouraged me to blog but I didn’t understand it. It sounded like such a huge task, especially when I heard most of the top marketers were blogging every day.
Where did they find time?
It wasn’t too long after that I started to blog. In fact, for a stretch of about a month, I was blogging twice a day.
Now I was still in that experimental phase of my career and I was bouncing around from strategy to strategy.
When I settled down with a primary, I got back to blogging and doing videos.
The Video Blog Connection
One of my favorite techniques is to write a blog and introduce a blog with a video to increase the connection.
I certainly enjoyed seeing other marketers do it, so I decided to do it as well.
With technology so advanced these days, it’s actually easier to hit record on a smart phone and have a video done with a minute or two. Sitting down to write a blog definitely takes time but at the same time, people still read wherever they are.
Should you blog? Just like I said in the video, I think you should. It’s a chance for people to find you… especially when you are sleeping! 😉
