  3. Chris, this is such a great metaphor for our new year – writing our story, our legend, our manifesto. Although it is a great metaphor, it is also a specific call to “write it down.” An aspiration or a goal, not written, is nothing more than a passing thought in a forgotten moment. This is a great time, if you haven’t already started some kind of journal, to start keeping one. It is fun and rewarding to be able to look back into your past by reading your journal (ever noticed that it has the same root as “journey”? Jour is the French word for “day.”)

I actually keep mine organized in a big old Google spreadsheet…kind of an unconventional format, but it works because I like to keep an organized listing of actions taken, results, ideas and goals – the spreadsheet works well for that.

Chris, I’d love to join your team. But that would be pointless now, since I’m already on your team! Thanks for your inspiration last year, all the times you’ve spent helping me, and your kind friendship. I hope your new year is even better than you can imagine!

Happy New Year Tip… And thanks for stopping by. You have provided me with such great advice and tips in the short time we have known each other. And yes, so sorry you can’t join my team twice. 😉

Yes writing down goals and laying out a plan is the best thing anyone could ever do. It will be fun to look back on everything when the dust settles at the end of 2016.

Happy New Year and look forward to our next Skype call!

    Wow what a great post!
As someone who has not yet jumped into my plan to make 2016 the year I FINALLY earn an income from home – I have to tell you that this post will be added to my Favorites so I can revisit it when I’m feeling a little overwhelmed (which, I have been assured, will happen).
Thank you so much for posting this.
The picture you shared inspired me to do a Google search for more like it, and I found a link that I think fits the bill. I think you and your team will enjoy it as well so I’m going to share it here.
